A tutor can do a lot for a student. But I feel like the most important thing that can be done is to change the idea of a negative notion about a subject in the students mind. Attitude plays a key role in learning, and diminishing that fear, and giving the student confidence can really change their entire interest and perception about that certain…
The most important thing a tutor can do for student is to encourage them to do their best, and help them develop a passion for the things they are learning so that they don't develop a resentment for school like many children do. I am able to explain challenging concepts in a simple manner (quite like explaining meiosis to a 5 year old) and I am…
The most important thing a tutor does for his students is boosting the morale of their weak students and providing them assistance accordingly because every student has a different grasping level so, unlike a teacher, the tutor has to modify his teaching methods and strategies according to his students. I am very determinate and passionate about…
The most important thing I think a tutor can do for a student is to instil in them a good approach to learning through teaching them practical techniques to work smarter and get more out of the effort that they put into the subject. Demystifying task sheets for a student and teaching them how to manage their time and develop a good working…
I think the most important aspect of being a tutor is to assist students in coming up with their own interpretations, especially in english, by expanding their skill set. By giving students the tools to succeed but letting them work through the problems first, it allows them to put forward any errors or miscommunications, which can then be…
Be patient and understanding and realise that each student has different needs, and that the best way to help each student is to alter the tutoring experience to they needs. Additionally being clear with the student of what their goals are from the beginning and reassuring and instilling confidence in them that they can achieve them. I think my…
Being there means a lot to kids. Your mere presence is an indication that you are available to what they need or want to say. Listening to how their day went and encouraging them to reach their full potential. I know how patient, caring and understanding one should be in dealing with kids. I think those are my strengths as a…
I believe a tutor play a great role in helping his/her student to build up self confidence.
A tutor can help a student in identifying their strengths and weaknesses and work accordingly. 1. Customising the teaching methods as per the need of a student.
2. Dedicated individual focus.
3.…
I build a rapport with the students and customise the lesson with a mature and sensitive approach by understanding the student's strengths and weaknesses. I make sure I keep the student motivated by making learning interesting and engaging. I am an active listener.
I plan ahead to make the classes interesting and active.
I have a mature and…
To grant a student the ability to pursue their dreams of getting entrance to a prestigious university course, or to simply allow them to maximally blossom their high school results to be presentable to a future employer. Perhaps sparking an interest in something that one would never have even considered a prospect, or bestow them wisdom from my…
I think it would be acknowledging the difficulty in subjects to know that they aren't alone with their difficulties and also being able to explain to them the content of their subjects in new ways that makes sense to them. And also make them feel confident in their abilities as well as teaching them a new confidence of autonomy when it comes to…
The most important things I can do for a student is teaching them how to learn and study more efficiently as those are more important than helping them to solve specific questions. I like to evaluate and assess the situation at first, which I believe is a strength as a tutor because it is hard to improve before knowing what one's weaknesses are.…
The most important thing will be to help the student find his/her interest in the subject. If they don't believe they can do it or that what they're learning is actually beneficial, they're only ever going to treat it as something they have to do. It'll be difficult for them to reach their potential in the subject. My strengths would be ability to…
Identifying the problem areas of students.
Explaining the theory and procedure of the solution.
Hence, tutor can built better confidence in student, he/she can help them achieve good mark and create their interest in the subject. My strength would be better explaining, giving live examples and providing the students with multiple ways to solve…
The most important thing is to understand each student as a person so that you can personalise their learning and teach to their strengths. This comes with communicating and listening to what that student has to say to you. I like to ask students questions about their background with the subject, or related subjects and what they're hoping to…
Instilling confidence in their ability to learn. I have experience as an academic tutor both for university level subjects as well as high school level subjects. I am patient and I have a willingness to learn any material required, to help my student's…
Firstly to help them understand something that they may be scared or ashamed of not knowing. Also, to help teach special small techniques to quicken solutions. I'm super open and friendly and have a lot of patience, so I can sit and understand what the problem is before rushing and forcing the student to hop…
I am very patient and I will listen to what they are struggling with. I want them to know they are not alone and that I am there to help. I am able to assist them without judgement and help to encourage them to keep trying and work through each challenge. I want them to know I genuinely care about them and their progress and I am there to help. I…
I personally think being present and always being eager to get through sessions no matter the difficulty since there is always an easier way to get by problems. Being patient with students is essential since students' learning methods vary. Also pushing them to strive for development and always looking to make the session enjoyable throughout! I…
In my opinion it is extremely important to ensure the learner knows that it is safe to not succeed at first as learning is a process full of unsuccessful attempts. This will allow students to participate fearlessly in a tutoring session. Building that trust and relationship with students is an integral part of tutoring. It will enable students to…
The most important things a tutor can do are to provide personalized support, build confidence, and help them reach their goal. My strengths as a tutor include being patient, and adapting to each student's learning style to create a supportive environment for their…
I think a tutor can give a student confidence, that a student doesn't need to be intimidated by a STEM class. The general attitude that these subject are 'too hard' or that a student 'will never use these skills again' sets up bright students for failure before they even set foot in a classroom. The most important thing a tutor can do is boost a…
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student in my opinion is being patient and kind whilst teaching in a way that best suits the learner. Having an in-depth knowledge surrounding the topic that is being taught is also extremely important so that students can feel confident that any question they may ask can be answered correctly. I am…
Henry was very happy with Hayden's style of tutoring. He found him clear and concise in the way he explained methods, and was teaching him the same way his teacher is at school. Whilst I was listening in the background I could hear that Hayden was very encouraging towards Henry which I'm sure gave him some confidence to tackle the next equation. I know that Hayden will leave more and more homework going forward, he was keen to get to know Henry as a person, identify his strengths and weaknesses first.
Chris is actually very happy with Shehara. He seems motivated. He's had two sessions with her and seems to like it so all good here.
Ally's tutoring is going well and Gopi is very nice. Ally's report was very positive and that makes me happy. I have spoken to Gopi about Ally's progress and informed her that we would like to extend Alexandra in Maths.
