What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love teaching. It allows me to not only explore more about a certain subject, and build and strengthen my foundation on, it also allows me to learn more about my pupil, therefore, allowing me to reflect more on my own teaching methodologies.
One of my favourite teaching methodologies is applying a concept to a real life situation, enabling my student to understand the concept thoroughly. This is often a fun experience and one of the things I enjoy most about tutoring, as it helps the student simplify and understand a difficult concept more easily.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think one of the my biggest strengths as a tutor is the fact that I come from a family of teachers. My moms a teacher, my grandma was a principal, my grandad's dad was a lecturer, my aunts a teacher, etc. Seeing all of this has helped me understand the impact that can be made on a students life, and the positive learning experience that can be followed. I also have a very good foundation on the subjects that I tutor, and I have the ability to adapt to an individuals learning needs and ability. I am an empathetic and patient individual who is willing to devote the time and energy for my pupil
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor can do a lot for a student. But I feel like the most important thing that can be done is to change the idea of a negative notion about a subject in the students mind. Attitude plays a key role in learning, and diminishing that fear, and giving the student confidence can really change their entire interest and perception about that certain subject. These small changes in attitude could be the reason why a student decides that they would want to pursue a career in the subject they were once fearful of. I am certain I can aid a student with this.
