What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Best thing about tutoring is figuring out the childs passion on the subject being tutored. If they are passionate about the subject, then I can deep conversation with them about the subject as well as strengthening their knowledge and skills on the subject. If they are not that passionate, then I can show them the possibilities and strenghts of what the subject can do. Since I am passionate about maths, the possibilities that comes with it varies and I can show those possibilities to them. I've done community services such as yayasan sayap ibu where I taught orphans about maths and english.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have prior experiences in teaching children, and I've conversed and guided high school children as well. I have very good communication skills as I attended multiple world' scholars cup and model united nations competition to enhance my skills in speaking. Additionally, I took higher level maths for an international baccalaureate degree as well as winning math competitions such as a gold medal in ASMO (Asian science and maths olympiad) and attended WMTC (Worlds Mathematics Team Championship).
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing is that they understand the theories behind certain topics. Especially in maths where many educational systems and tutors would just show the formulas in answering questions and not how they got to the formula in the first place. If they do understand the theories, then everything else will come easy.

Went quite a bit slow so that the student understands well. She was capable of processing the calculations herself. Supported her at her weakest topics.

It went quite a bit slow with regards to harder questions. I'm not so sure if the student gets it herself, gave quite a few more hints than usual.

Was capable of showing the student how to visualize graphs with logarithms. Explanation of derivatives and logarithms went quite well. Additional topic at the end to introduce integration.
Student is much more capable than I presumed. She wants to explore harder questions and explanations of some theories was a bit broken. Lack of confidence as well.
