What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring, to me, is a way of giving back into the community and sharing the knowledge I have learnt and essential ways to better excel. Tutoring also allows me to get to know other people such as parents and students which has been a great aid towards my communication skills as well as further polishing of my teaching skills. Seeing children improve and gain better understanding towards their education makes me incredibly happy and to see that I have been part of that amazing journey makes it even more exciting.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Firstly, I come from very multi-cultural and multilingual country and so have experience talking and getting to know various people. Secondly, through many mentoring programs at The University of Queensland, I have gained many problem-solving, negotiation and communication skills which I think can be of great use when it comes to tutoring. Thirdly, I have also attended a leadership program that was led by Harvard University which has thought me many essential vital skills.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor should be able to and simplify a particular concept making it easier for a student to understand. A tutor should also be able to motivate the student and provide constant encouragement when the student is feeling demotivated. A tutor should also be able to adapt and improve teaching styles depending on the student and their progress. It this also important for the tutor to have some amount of flexibility.
