What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I really enjoy helping people and teaching in general. Being able to help someone who is really struggling get to a point where they can confidently work by themselves is so rewarding to me.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am very patient and don't mind re-explaining things in different ways if I need to. Being a Bachelor of Education student, I have also been exposed to many difficult strategies and theories of teaching which helps me in being able to teach a variety of learners. I have also been taught strategies to teach students with disabilities, EAL/D students and those with backgrounds involving complex trauma if need be. Being a very social person I often get along with people easily which helps form a professional relationship between myself and those I tutor which in turn often supports learning.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student in my opinion is being patient and kind whilst teaching in a way that best suits the learner. Having an in-depth knowledge surrounding the topic that is being taught is also extremely important so that students can feel confident that any question they may ask can be answered correctly.
