What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

My favourite aspect of tutoring is seeing the spark in a student's eyes when they finally understand a concept.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My greatest strength is my ability to explain concepts from many different perspectives, so that my students can 'click' with the one they prefer rather than just understanding the first explanation given. Another strength of mine is being able to teach students with a wide range of skill levels and confidence in a way and pace which best suits their skill. Regarding specific areas, I am strongest at helping with the SDD Major Work, and I can give personalised advice on every aspect: selecting a project, planning and design, report structure and writing and everything in between.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

For lower-achieving students, I consider ensuring that a student truly understands the fundamentals of a concept before moving onto the next steps or new content is the most important area of tutoring. In my experience tutoring, I found that many of my students had previously not understood a more fundamental concept (often one or two years below them) and thus struggled with learning new content which depended on those fundamentals. For higher-achieving students, I consider ensuring that a student can complete the hardest question variants the exam can ask to be most important.
