What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I find tutoring to be a rewarding experience. For myself, it can be gratifying to see students grasp new concepts and make progress in their studies. I find that tutoring additionally provides the opportunity for me to refine my own understanding of subject matters which I am passionate about and improve my teaching skills.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Knowledge: As someone who has a passion for learning, I have dedicated much of my life to my education. A natural result of this is that I am extremely qualified in the areas of study which I have selected, as seen in my academic awards.
Adaptability: I can adjust my teaching style and methods to match the needs and learning preferences of individual students, providing personalised support and guidance.
Availability: As a university student with very few contact hours, I am extremely flexible.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing tutors can do for students is being able to adapt to different students needs. I believe I hold these skills. I understand that different students learn in different ways, and have experience in fostering environments which cater to all styles of learning.

Needs to work on multiplication, and also on double-checking her working to avoid making careless mistakes.
Seemed pretty confident and was able to answer most questions.

Again, we needed to do more work on the foundations. She was confident on drawing nets of shapes by didn't have the background knowledge a lot of the time about what a particular 3D shape would even look like.
Was able to listen carefully to the steps, and she went from not understanding at all to being able to answer standard questions by herself.

Again, needs to work on multiplication. I am working on a schedule for her to do multiplication practice at home by herself since it is really holding her back. Also needs to work on thinking about questions before blindly applying the steps, since every question requires something different.
Was able to focus effectively even online. Understood the work mostly well.

A couple of gaps in her knowledge, and some rules she didn't seem to have been taught. All cleared up by the end of the session though.
