What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Witnessing students' confidence in their skills grow when they begin to believe in themselves brings me the most joy when tutoring. I love watching the moments when content clicks and it makes more sense to the student and they become intrigued to learn more.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am confident in my mathematics skills as a tutor and am willing to support students in any way possible during their studies. As a current mathematics university student, I thoroughly understand the stress that can come with studying mathematics and in school overall. I am passionate about establishing professional trust between student and tutor to create a comfortable space where students can develop their learning with a growth mindset.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Acting as a mentor is one of the most important things a tutor can do for a student. Tutors need to understand their students and be willing to listen to them to ensure they develop a safe space where students are not embarrassed to be confused and should relate to the student to show that they are not alone in their struggle to understand topics.

Andrea was able to understand the transformations of trigonometric graphs and relate them to the transformation of functions in the previous topics. She was able to sketch the graphs with different periods and amplitudes and compare them to see the effect of the period in the domain on the graphs.
Andrea would benefit from reviewing the basic graphs of Sine, Cosine and Tangent and their reciprocals to ensure she understands their shape to apply to more complex questions.
