What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Tutoring for me is an opportunity to help children achieve their personal best regardless if they're either struggling within school or are beyond the program. For the multiple years and various clients I've worked with I've enjoyed to see the result of our work, bringing 5-6th grade students rise from below average level to performing well above their grade and cohort level.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

With the various clients I've worked with I have noticed that I have an ability to keep students engaged for longer periods of time than I've been told was possible for them in a traditional school setting resulting me to providing 1.5 to even 2 hour long sessions for my students. I also believe I help students see a variety of perspectives and approaches to problems they might have otherwise not been able to solve. In addition I've been complimented that I've explained concepts to students with a variety of approaches until they understand the concept rather than just memorising a method.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe that it's a tutor's purpose is to push the student at a pace that they're capable of achieving regardless of what that level is. A student can only work to the best of their capacity and achieving this efficiency is the advantaged of personalised education. With younger especially clients in grades 4 and below, I believe it's essential to create a study positive mindset in order to promote a self motivated development later in life.
