Caitlin has some good basic level of math. It appears that she is more confident in some topic than others.

Unfortunately, she often makes careless mistakes. I showed her a method to handle linear function, both drawing a graph and determining an equation. If she continue to practice, I believe she can do great in this topic. As for the topic, interest and depreciation, she seemed to be weaker. I showed her how to read, interpret and understand the meaning of the symbol percentage (%). This topic requires good comprehension of the question. I strongly suggest her to read every question carefully and repeat reading it if it does not make sense.

She has good communication skill. she can express her feeling easily.

However she does not have the enthusiasm to improve her math solving ability. She often likes to guess for an answer if she does not know how to solve, instead of understanding the "how" to solve it. After the first lesson, I strongly recommend her to improve her arithmetic operations, ie. simple multiplication and division. Ideally she should learn and memorise the multiplication table by heart. Otherwise it would be difficult for her make progress in other topics
