What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
There are many things I like while being a tutor, but for me being able to help students is what I enjoy the most. I love working with students, provide support using my knowledge and skills in order to assist them with their queries. It felt like I have gained an achievement after seeing my students doing better and better. Moreover, while I tutor, I am also consolidating my understanding of the topics, and I believe I have grown and developed so much from tutoring.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Empathy is one of my greatest strengths. As a tutor, empathy helps me to understand my students and find the appropriate strategies to help. My other strengths include patience and positivity. I normally stay calm and even-tempered while solving problems and this will definitely be crucial while tutoring. I also understand that learning is hard and for challenging subjects students might get dispirited easily. So, with my positive attitude I believe I can motivate and encourage students to challenge themselves.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor uses his/ her knowledge to assist the student. However, in that learning process, tutor not only assists with strengthening subject comprehension but also can help boosting the student's confidence, as well as building important learning skills. Building a strong, personal relationship with student is also important for a tutor in order to create a personalised learning strategies. Focusing on student's strengths and minimise student's weaknesses are what I am aiming for as a tutor, as I believe students will be motivated to learn when it comes to what they are good at.
