I love building rapport with a student. Itβs vital they feel safe, that they can be at ease with someone who communicates with them on their level authentically. I love seeing them inspired, excited about learning, growing in confidence and understanding and enjoying English. The βAhaβ moments are precious as are their smiles!

The most important thing a tutor can do is put the student at ease and make them feel heard, seen, understood. validated as the unique person and learner that they are.
Provide the student skills and understanding that empowers them to become independent, confident, risk taking, creative thinking learners.
