What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
Personally, my favourite part about learning math was the period between being completely defeated by a complex concept and eventually understanding it fully with the "ahah" moment. I want to help students replicate this emotion and spark their love for math and academics as a whole. Furthermore, teaching people gives me a sense of fulfilment that other retail and entry levels jobs do not offer to me.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
My strongest asset as a tutor is my ability to break up larger problems in to fragments which I can teach individually. This allows students to fundamentally understand the content. One month of corporate tutoring at Edu-Kingdom.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
The most important thing for a tutor to do is to help the student identify what the real problem is. Many times a student is confused about many problems, however, a good tutor should be able to identify patterns that students are consistently misunderstanding or misreading. Then the tutor must help the student resolve that specific problem with the hope that they will begin to unpack the similar problems on their own time.
Further, for any specific concept, it is vital that tutors can break it down into small problems which are explained separately.
