What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The best part about tutoring is seeing the student understand the concept that has been just taught to them. When I was helping my students with breaking down difficult problems, it brought me great joy when they entered that "lightbulb moment" as they finally understood the concept and as a result gained confidence in their knowledge. Watching them progress and succeed drives my passion for helping and tutoring people.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As a tutor, I was patient. When I worked through the questions with my students, I would give them time to process and think through the problem. I did not hesitate to work it through with them when they were stuck and calmly assisted them with every step of the problem even if it meant taking up a lot of time. I was also committed to helping the students reach their goals by taking time to understand the person and their learning style individually. With these in mind I tailored my teaching method to teach them at a level where they could understand the material the clearest.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe that a tutor should tailor their teaching to the student that they are teaching. This could involve motivating the student and getting them to enjoy the subject by for example giving them incentives to complete work by rewarding them with food or snacks. Communication is also highly important. A good tutor would discuss the student's progress with the student in a non-confronting way and then pinpoint tailored strategies that they could use to study outside the lesson. In addition, the tutor should connect with the student on a personal level to make the lesson more enjoyable.
