What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy it when students grasp a difficult concept and you can see it in their facial expressions. I enjoy Mathematics above everything.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have a lot of patience and I am creative at finding different ways to explain concepts. I have lectured at Tertiary Level and worked in the Banking Industry and I'm currently studying a Masters Degree in Teaching. Mathematics was not easy for me at school and I had some bad teachers, so I know what it feels like to struggle with Mathematics.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The student should learn to solve problems on their own and gain confidence to do so. If I can improve a student's confidence in the subject or love for the subject then I would have done my job.

We'll have to revise algebra as a whole at some point, but I suggest we move one to more practical work like Pythagoras Theorem and get back to the basics of Algebra as and when needed.
Spencer now has an improved understanding on how the signs of multiplication changes when multiplying with negative numbers.

Understanding of how to move variables and numbers from one side of the equal sign to the other and how to make a variable the subject of the equation. I'll try to find some good video resources.

- Small mistakes here and there that may be very costly if she makes it everywhere, but let's see how it goes in the test and take it from there. I don't see any huge gaps in her knowledge, just small things that she forgets in one question and then gets right in the next question. - For the test it is important to work through her note book from school and then do as many exercises as possible.

- Definitions of division is better than last week - She did not get the questions that test order of operations correct when I did not specify that it is about order of operations - She is good with substitution - Factorisation is fairly good, but she either loses concentration after such a long day or gets a bit confused
- Definitions will have to be memorised (I'll send a list by e-mail) - Identifying Highest Common Factors - We can do revision on the whole chapter - Identifying questions
