What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
Helping students improve on their grades and developing an enthusiasm for the subject. I believe with a subject such as maths it's not just about understanding numbers and getting answers but learning the systematic processes and that carries over into real life, being logical and rational, ultimately changing their lives outside of a school subject.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
As I work in other roles such as sports coaching, I interact with many students on a daily basis and therefore have developed great communication skills, especially between younger students, and I'm able to relate to different individuals, whether that be understanding the way they think or go about things or relating the maths to make it applicable to them.
Most important things I can do for a student π
To be patient and understand their student. Students learn in different ways and after you're able to identify their most effective and efficient way to absorb information, you have to be patient and help guide them through but at the same time, give some leeway for them to develop an understanding as the ultimate goal is to create a way of thinking under a growth mindset rather than fixed.
