What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
My favorite part about tutoring is imparting the knowledge that I've learnt to someone who is equally excited about learning. I'm an extrovert, so I enjoy talking about things that I'm really passionate about.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I donβt expect my students to modify their learning method to fit my teaching methods, but rather I believe in the opposite. It is my job to tailor my teaching methods to fit my students, and since all students donβt learn the same way, it is my job to cater to each student individually. For example, some students learn by seeing an animation of the algorithm, others find it more helpful to have a hands-on interactive version of an algorithm (using blocks), others respond positively to having it explained in detail. I have always striven to accommodate all these learning styles.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to provide them with the one-on-one attention that is not given to them in schools with large class sizes. The student needs to be able to feel comfortable enough to ask questions (even the embarrassing ones) and they need to know that the tutor will sit with them for as long as it takes to explain the concepts to them.
