My favourite thing about tutoring is getting to engage with people and spark their curiosity in the subject. Helping someone finally grasp a concept, or see the beauty behind it, is a very special moment. I think my biggest strength as a tutor is the way I use examples and simple explanations to help build an intuitive grasp of more complex concepts. I think that the most important thing a tutor can do is encourage the student to think about things in a new light, and learn for themselves. By asking leading questions and allowing them to make mistakes, one can help mould a much more proficient and inquisitive student.
