What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love knowing that I helped someone with the most crucial, difficult yet exciting part about being a student, which is learning. And I love helping to bring out that moment of curiosity and excitement when a once difficult and mysterious concept suddenly "clicks", and somehow arbitrary variables in mathematics can transform into logical equations. That is why I always loved to tutor my friends in the past, and I wish to share the passion for learning with others.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think my strength is my ability to break down difficult concepts into bite-sized, digestible pieces of information that is much easier to comprehend, in which understanding the small variables of an equation leads to a more developed comprehension of the larger equation. I also place heavy emphasis on understanding the concept rather than memorizing the formula of the concept, which may slow the initial learning speed, but would drastically increase comprehension of said concept and increase application skills, which is most crucial.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor needs to flexible and adapt to the way their students learn; some student require more visualisation to learn, while some require analogies, some may memorise the formula but never understands the concept, etc... I think it is the tutors responsibility to meet the students academic needs, adapt, and to assist the students with their academic weaknesses through guiding them with their academic strengths.
