What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Helping students reach a stage where they understand what they are doing, and can confidently answer questions using only their own knowledge.
I think math is really interesting, and at a highschool level anyone can understand it as long as they put in the time and effort. Lots of students arent confident in maths, and it feels good to help those students succeed and do well in the subject. It feels really satisfying to know that I helped them understand maths a little better, and helped them overcome an obstacle that seemed hard when they first saw it.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my biggest strength as a tutor is being able to explain concepts clearly, in a way that is easy to understand for students. Lots of students at Underdale High school came up to me telling me they don't have any clue what a question is asking, or what they have to do in order to solve a problem. I was always able to help them understand the problem within a few minutes, and explain to them why certain things worked the way they did.
Some of my other strengths include being able to hold a students attention, and keeping learning interesting and fun while still educational.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Some of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is engage them within a subject, keep them interested to learn more, and motivate students to do their absolute best. Tutors should also be able to explain their reasoning very well, and build better study habits
