What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
I enjoy watching the growth of students by helping them with their approach and understanding towards a topic or something that they used to lack understanding of. Additionally, tutoring is a two-way help; I feel accomplished and heart-warmed by becoming somebody that the students could turn to for help or advice whilst growing and learning to become a better tutor, and students would gain the mastery of a certain concept and learning approach.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
Adapt to different learning styles of students is one strength that helps me enhance studentโs learning and cater to their needs as much as possible as every student has different methods of learning and application. Being able to communicate to their level of understanding also is imperative in enabling students to grasp and idea or concept effectively.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
Firstly, being patient and establishing a safe and positive learning environment, where asking questions of doubt and/or clarification, and making room for errors as a mean to learn and approach new concepts helps to build a student's confidence especially when it comes to making mistakes.
Being adaptable and a great listener and observer is important in order to directly aid in a student's learning, especially when it comes to a concept that they find rather challenging.
