What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Being able to help students who require additional assistance, and watching them grow and develop. Students work hard, and sometimes they need a little bit of extra help. It's always rewarding to see them prosper and develop in areas that they're struggling in - and see the confidence that they have in themselves and their abilities, grow.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I'm patient, empathetic, and understanding, and I try to put myself in the student's shoes. I am also good at trying to find other ways of explaining things if one method doesn't work - because I recognise that a one-size approach doesn't always work. Being empathetic helps you to connect with your students, and develop a cohesive and respectful working relationship.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

Listen to the student. I think it's important that tutors listen to their students to understand their strengths and weaknesses, and get to know them. By doing this, you'll be able to help them in the way that works best for them, in the areas that they're struggling with the most. Sometimes there are things outside of schoolwork that make it hard for students to concentrate or understand concepts, and being able to listen to a student and understand them, can go a long way in having a good teaching approach and a successful outcome.
