Being able to help students who require additional assistance, and watching them grow and develop. Students work hard, and sometimes they need a little bit of extra help. I'm patient, empathetic, and understanding, and I try to put myself in the student's shoes. I am also good at trying to find other ways of explaining things if one method doesn't work - because I recognise that a one-size approach doesn't always work. Listen to the student. I think it's important that tutors listen to their students to understand their strengths and weaknesses, and get to know them. By doing this, you'll be able to help them in the way that works best for them, in the areas that they're struggling with the most. Sometimes there are things outside of schoolwork that make it hard for students to concentrate or understand concepts, and being able to listen to a student and understand them, can go a long way in having a good teaching approach and a successful outcome.Subjects Tutored π
