My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a tutor, I believe that my opening, positive and enthusiastic attitude could help me to fit the role. Encouraging, understanding and patience are the strength that I have developed. My experience in youth catholic group has helped me to learn to interact with other people especially the younger ones.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
In my opinion, as a tutor, it is very important to cherish the students as they progressed, acknowledging their work and encourage them to try to do with their full potential. Besides, it is important to have an understanding of their best way of learning, and encourage them to question in their learning. Furthermore, awareness of their wellbeing are also important, having a connection with the student and well communication with the parents are needed. A tutor should know their role as a supporter, a friend that the student could be easy to turn up to comfortably.

Vikrant showed improvement in recognizing and writing numbers from 11 to 20, making only a few mistakes. Compared to his first lesson, he demonstrated greater patience and focus when counting and writing numbers. He was able to count numbers greater than 10 and write them down with minimal errors. His number tracing skills have improved, and he was able to recall some words while tracing, such as "fox," "the," "in," "to," "fly," "cat," and "bee." His engagement and willingness to participate in activities have increased.
Vikrant occasionally reversed numbers while writing, for example, writing "81" instead of "18." He still needs reinforcement in recognizing and filling in missing numbers in the range of 1 to 25. Although his patience has improved, he can continue working on maintaining concentration for longer periods. More practice is needed in letter-sound recognition to strengthen his understanding of beginning sounds. Continued exposure to sentence tracing can help enhance his familiarity with commonly used words and improve handwriting.

Vikrant was slowly introduced to independent writing, starting with one word at a time or completing words by filling in missing letters, which also helped reinforce digraphs patterns. He has improved in social reasoning skills by learning to express his ideas at appropriate times with guidance. He has made progress in reducing the habit of putting his feet on the table, though this habit can still be triggered in stressful situations.
He needs guidance to reduce the habit of chewing on pencils and spitting, which can be addressed through proper instruction and explanation of why these behaviors should be avoided. Further practice is needed to strengthen his understanding of addition and the use of the addition symbol. Reinforcement of vowel and diagraph patterns will help improve his ability to recognize and use them correctly in writing. Continued encouragement and structured activities can help him further develop independent writing skills and confidence in completing words on his own.

Vikrant was able to independently recognize short vowels and apply this knowledge in different exercises, such as filling in missing vowels and circling the correct words. He showed good cooperation in learning addition and was engaged in the activities. His ability to trace and fill in missing numbers has improved, showing more confidence in number recognition.
He is still slowly working towards mastering digraphs and will need more practice and reinforcement. While he cooperates well in learning addition, he will need more time and structured activities to fully grasp the concept. Continued practice with vowel exercises and number tracing will further strengthen his skills.

Tracing has become neater than before. He can concentrate for a longer time, staying focused until the end of activities. It is easier to regain his attention when needed. He can now count slowly and mindfully from 1 to 10. He is able to fill in missing numbers from 1 to 10 within a few seconds. He has started tracing while saying words. He is becoming familiar with vowels. We have begun working on numbers 11 to 20, and he is catching up well. He recognizes these numbers and can fill in missing ones with only minor mistakes. Initially, he found it difficult to remember number order (e.g., distinguishing 16 from 61), but with practice, he has improved significantly. He will soon start learning numbers from 20 to 30. In English, he is working on CVC words, slowly breaking them down by recognizing the "-at" sound (e.g., cat, bat, hat).
The formation of numbers 5 and 8 still needs practice and refinement. He tends to miswrite number 5, either making the curve too large or not fully connecting the lines. For number 8, he sometimes does not form the two circles proportionally, leading to inconsistencies. He struggles with engaging in English material and needs more time to adapt. He struggles to focus on the individual sounds of letters and blend them together to form words. Instead of attempting to sound out words on his own, he tends to imitate or repeat what the teacher says. He needs more practice in breaking down words independently and recognizing phonetic patterns. Vikrant focuses better and is more proactive when he receives praise and patient guidance. Meeting his emotional needs helps improve his concentration and willingness to participate. When he feels stressed, he tends to get more distracted and has a slower thought process. In stressful moments, it is harder to regain his focus, and he exhibits more intrusive actions and fidgety movements.
