What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I like the most about tutoring is the opportunity it presents to reinforce and develop your understanding. Explaining a concept to another person, in my opinion, is one of the best ways to learn. It allows you to identify areas where your knowledge may be lacking. Not only that but each person has their own unique way of learning. Being able to tailor your explanation helps develop your ability to solve problems through different approaches.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

When it comes to tutors, I feel like they have two main important roles. The first is teaching and imparting knowledge. I graduated from high school three years ago. While I do not have the experience that a high school teacher has. what I do have is understanding. I can empathise with the issues that the students are and will face. I can understand why they may have difficulty with courses and provided them with ways in which I solved them. The second is helping students develop good studying habits. I have spent hours upon hours studying during my time at Uni.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

One of the most important things that a tutor can do for their student is to understand where they do and do not lack in understanding. One way to think of it is like a flower. When nurturing it is important to give it the right amount of water, light and nutrients so that it can grow. If any of these needs is lacking or given an excess it can cause its growth to become stunted, making it take longer before it blooms.
