What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I haven't done any official tutoring but I have definitely helped friends/girlfriends in the past understand concepts which they just couldn't wrap their head around. I enjoy sharing my skills with others and watching them slowly understand. I feel truly proud when someone I have communicated a concept to in any realm of life builds an understanding.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
To be totally honest, I found general maths in year 12 to be a breeze where others found it challenging. I have strong critical thinking and problem solving skills. I am logical and can explain concepts in a way that will help the student actually understand the content instead of just knowing the answers.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The number one most important thing a tutor can do for a student is make sure that the student builds a strong understanding of the content. There is a difference between knowing how to work out a problem, and why a problem is solved the way it is. I think that when you understand the why instead of just how it becomes very simple to complete maths problems. That is the most important skill a tutor can teach a student.
