What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I most enjoy seeing development in my students learning. I especially enjoy seeing the student begin to enjoy a subject or concept after previously finding it difficult and frustrating to learn. Once a student begins to enjoy difficult concepts, they are not only going to find revising easier, but when their friends or classmates are struggling with the same concept, they are more likely to have the confidence in themselves to explain it to them, which further cements the knowledge.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My experience as a tennis coach has shown me how different students learn at different speeds and in different ways. Some understand concepts more when shown visually and some prefer a more aural approach. Over the years, I have developed my skills in teaching using these different techniques and adapting my approach and language used depending on the student.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe that tutors must have a good attitude and genuinely enjoy the concepts and the subject. Without this, the student will most likely find the tutoring bland and boring, which would reduce their engagement and their overall performance and knowledge in the subject.
