What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Having been a stressed out student myself, being able to assist and help others is a significant drawcard of tutoring. The process of offering advice, strategies, and tips is not only rewarding, but provides an opportunity for me to develop my communication and instructional skills. Being a tutor also provides an opportunity for me to mentor others, using my own lived and living experiences to create a positive, meaningful impact in the life of another student.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I always go the extra mile, and will not stop at the bare minimum in anything I do. For example, I will always be open and happy to communicate with students outside of class hours (e.g. helping with homework or a simple question). I have a strong command of the English language, and therefore can communicate directly with students in a clear and succinct way, to ensure they gain the most from each session. I also take the time to get to know the students well, and take an interest in their learning style and structure, to create a truly personalised experience.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

- Facilitate open discussion about the stresses, intricacies, and difficulties of schooling (especially in Year 12) - Explain the same concept as a student's classroom teacher but in a way that is digestible to the student (offering a personal approach) - Be able to provide detailed feedback and/or comprehensive drafts for assignments and other non-examinable coursework, as these not only immensely aid understanding but can also significantly boost student results.
