What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I believe accessible education and lifelong learning is an integral part of a child’s growth and development into adulthood. As a student motivated by gaining new knowledge and meaningful interactions with others, I enjoy tutoring for it allows me to share my knowledge and experiences to other students, so that they too can experience the joy of learning and be empowered by their newfound insights. It also gives me a sense of accomplishment when I am able to work with others on a person-to-person basis in order to help them achieve their goals.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Given my past experiences in mentoring and informal tutoring, I believe I am able to use and develop my skills as a tutor. I believe my greatest strengths are my patience and creativity, that I can use to help students feel at ease when expressing their struggles, and develop multiple approaches to helping students resolve these struggles. I am also friendly and down-to-earth and eager to connect with students emotionally in their academic journey.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to instil in them the confidence that they will succeed. Ensuring that students have a positive and resilient mindset to learning will allow for students to continue growing and improving in the face of their struggles and difficulties. Other important things a tutor can do for a student is to provide a safe space for students to grow and make mistakes, and come to develop a love for life-long learning.
