What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The most rewarding part of teaching is when the student has "the lightbulb moment" and suddenly the concept clicks in their head and they get it. That feeling for me is very rewarding and makes it all worthwhile.
Because a tutor's job is not just to teach a student a subject, but to guide them through and fully understand that subject.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Since I am a recent high school graduate, I am able to easily relate to all of my students that I am tutoring and I can show them the same steps that I took to make a concept click in my head, click in their head as well.
I am also a great communicator and I can easily relate to my students, and also make them passionate about learning, and show them that learning can be fun and exciting and not just boring tasks school makes you fulfill.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A teacher's job is not just to give a student knowledge. But it's to inspire their student to learn and seek knowledge and understanding themselves.
Which is why I consider that inspiring a student to learn and to continue to try to understand the world around them one of the most important things a teacher can do.
Our job is to inspire curiosity.

Nothing, we will see if anything does after next lesson.

She did pretty well on all fractions decimals and percentages, when the question covered that alone. She even did very well in the conversion questions which required mix knowledge.
However, one significant gap which I realised was holding her significantly back and that was the fact that she struggled with simplifying fractions, which was important in the intermediate stages of converting fractions. Which is why we will start with simplifying fractions from next lesson. This is pretty fair as we have not had a major focus on simplifying fractions in any of our lessons so far.
Started off with simplifying fractions as stated in the previous lesson, student is going well with progress so far.

Nothing much for now, will need more lessons to see how student is tracking and if she is retaining knowledge
Continued with simplifying fractions, the student is starting become significantly better already and has started to see the patterns which is great to see.

Nothing this lesson either, we will need more practice over subsequent lessons and will continue to monitor.
