What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy being a part of students' academic journeys and a means through which they achieve their goals. Watching their progress gives me fulfilment and I enjoy planning how to introduce concepts previously unknown to students.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
Through my experience, I have gained the ability to easily gauge which areas students are struggling in, and I address any queries they have before moving on, ensuring they are fully engaged at every step of the learning process. I also have good communication skills and can address groups of students when required, which can be attributed to my involvement in a range of extra curriculars throughout my academic journey. Furthermore, I have always been a high achieving student and have a solid understanding of the curriculum, so I can teach in a comprehensive yet smart manner.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to believe in them and remind them of their potential. Constant mentoring and motivation goes a long way in maximising students' academic performance.
It is also necessary to give students personalised advice to ensure they target their time and energy in the right tasks, especially in senior years when time is scarce.
