What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I get great satisfaction from watching people who I teach "click" and finally understand the concept which was initially confusing to them. Although I have had no proper tutoring experience, I have helped out my sister and my peers in class. This is why I know of this satisfaction that comes with teaching.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Having only recently completed the HSC myself, I understand the situation of year 11 and 12 students very well, allowing me to give suitable advice to students. This also means I have an in-depth knowledge of not only the contents of each course but also how the HSC tests are structured, what the examiners look for in answers etc. I can also share techniques which have allowed me personally to achieve my high results in my HSC, including my almost religious form of revision. Furthermore, I have a great passion for Mathematics and Chemistry and I particularly enjoy explaining complex ideas and

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think a tutor should be capable of answering any questions discussing any uncertainties that a student may have. These should be explained clearly and if the student does not understand initially, the tutor should continue to explain in alternate ways (e.g. rewording sentences and visual aids such as diagrams) until the student understands. In addition, I believe it is important for tutors to help implement study techniques, exam techniques and other bits of non-content specific advice that would be not taught at school.
