What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I thoroughly enjoy helping people learn and to aid them to excel in whichever area they seek improvement in. In addition, tutoring helps me grow as the job helps develop my critical thinking and time management skills. Furthermore, the flexibility of tutoring means I can balance my student and professional life with greater efficiency.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As a tutor, I am quite knowledgeable in mathematics. More importantly, I am constantly seeking self-improvement and problem-solving proactively In other words, if I'm not sure of the answer to a certain question, I am confident in my ability to do research and provide a satisfying answer to my student. In addition, I am happy to go over and re-explain certain concepts or problems until my student is satisfied and genuinely understands on a fundamental level why something is the way it is. Lastly, I left high school in 2020 and am aware of the current curriculum and effective study techniques.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing to do as a tutor is to amend the teaching style for different students. Motivation was one of the things that I and many of my peers struggled with, and so, the last thing I want is for my student to not be engaged in the content. One way to do this to include connections to the student's interests. In addition, being proactive is a very important skill to have as a tutor. In practice, this means learning about the student and their interests, researching and explaining any questions the student may have, and even managing my commitments elsewhere effectively.
