My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe my strengths are understanding where a gap of knowledge may be located for an individual. Whether this be from examining their work or just by discussing the topic at hand. I think that I am very capable at 'closing up' this gap with explanations that are build up from the base.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think a tutor should NOT ROTE-learn, nor encourage it. I have had tutors support this method - and this is of no help. Hence, the most important thing a tutor can do is do for the student is to really guide/build upon the foundation of knowledge that the current student has (through discussion/exercises). This involves careful listening and observation of a student to identify weaknesses. Weaknesses should then be addressed by supporting and guiding the student to examine their basis of understanding and build upon this.
