Improve their confidence in the field of study is very important. In year 11 I found myself questioning my mathematical skills and this often made me perform bad in tests because I'd doubt myself and make silly mistakes. Over the summer break before year 12 I had a private tutor who helped me improve my confidence and in year 12 I found out that I had the natural ability but just lacked the confidence in my ability.
