What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Tutoring allows me to not only really make education an enjoyable and worth while aspect of a students life, but also allows me to live out one of my life long childhood dreams, being a teacher. Although I choose to pursue a career in healthcare, I am passionate about education as an art. Not only the power of knowledge, but really the power of effective education to maximise the development of knowledge, through communication, personality, understanding, structure, time management, and many different techniques.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths as a tutor include patience, understanding, and communication. I believe these qualities work harmoniously in serving quality education. Having patience comes with the mindset that a student may not be able to understand a concept or question due to much more than is visible to the eye. Patience is only possible with understanding that each individual has different needs and deserves to be taught with care and patience. Growing up in the rural town Kalgoorlie, my early education saw a large focus on community and communication, making me a friendly and effective communicator.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe first and foremost is the ability of the tutor to convey the care they have towards the educational progress of the student. Instead of being overly strict or blunt, or overly lenient, the right balance with structure and friendliness makes a student comfortable to ask for help. A student will also feel more responsibility towards their education, as it is expressed through this way as a step towards knowledge, not a burden. It is also vital for a tutor to allow independance to the student as when a question is solved through their own thought process, it is retained best.
