What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Most of my students used to dislike studying Math, they study the subject with a hostile attitude. What I enjoy most about tutoring my students is that I see them giving the effort to study and showing improvement in Mathematics. I am happy to help students have more favor towards Math and they are no longer scared of studying the subject anymore. I am very proud of students when they try to use mathematical thinking and solve problems without asking me for the answers, and when they show me their ideas of how to solve challenging math questions. Furthermore, teaching for me is also learning, I enjoy teaching students new lessons, and new knowledge and each student is special in their own way. Tutoring gives me a chance to constantly review my Mathematics knowledge and enhance my skills by supporting students to solve challenging problems. Tutoring enables me to understand students’ thinking and recognize their misconceptions, which supports me in my teaching Mathematics career. I had a chance to learn how to tailor my explanations, and how to approach each new student and their nervousness as a new problem.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I find myself to be a patient and supportive tutor, I am willing to hear and figure out the students' problems with the subject and I always try my best to help students understand and be able to solve Math problems. I understand how students feel when they study Math and why they are scared of this subject, therefore, I would motivate students' learning by planning interesting lessons. As an energetic tutor, I believe I could not only help students improve their understanding of Mathematics but also help them have more favor for the subject. Moreover, having years of experience in tutoring is also one of my strengths, I believe that I understand students’ thinking and their misconceptions about math topics so that I could help them improve their comprehension. As a Math career, I have a great passion for Mathematics, and I would love to share my passion with all of my students. I can see great applications of Math and I want to help my students see the potential and importance of Mathematics as well as how much we can do with them.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor needs to realize how much support students need and what skills they are lacking. Being supportive is good but students also need to spend effort and work on problems on their own without being too dependent on the tutor. Studying skills for Mathematics is important, and a tutor should know how to help students improve mathematical thinking in solving problems. Students dislike learning Mathematics and find it difficult because they do not understand, a tutor needs to be aware of students' problems and lead them from the most basic concept in order to enhance students' understanding. Those are all important things I believe that I can do for my students as a tutor.
