What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
What I enjoy most about tutoring is the opportunity that I have to pass on my knowledge in order to help students reach their goals. I find tutoring fulfilling, as I have the ability to nurture students, assisting them to fill the gaps in their understanding. Through teaching classmates mathematics concepts over high school, I have discovered that I thoroughly enjoy and take pride in my teaching, as it feels incredibly rewarding helping others reach their potential.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My strengths as a tutor, I believe is my knowledge of the subject, patience, as well as my communication skills. Following my VCE, I achieved an ATAR of 90.05 attaining a raw 40 study score in General Mathematics, and this year ranked highly in both Methods and Specialist Mathematics. With this wide range of math experience, I believe that I will be able to help students with numerous topics, to a high degree. Further, my patience and communication skills allow me to guide students through difficult concepts at their own pace with clear explanations, to ensure that they are not left behind. and fully comprehend the topic.
Most important things I can do for a student π
For a tutor to make a significant difference to a student's academic performance, I highly believe that they should be able to teach a certain topic in a multitude of ways, in order to assist with the various learning preferences of students. The adaptability of a tutor is crucial to becoming the greatest assistance for a student, as this creates a straightforward and helpful learning experience. Additionally, communication is an extremely important characteristic for a tutor, as being clear and concise attains a smooth and effective transfer of knowledge from the tutor to the student.
