What I value most when teaching is the feeling of fulfillment when my student has finally undestood that concept or lesson that was so hard for them to learn. In my opinion, tutors have the responsability to ensure that the students have learned and correctly understood a topic. I always liked the metaphor building a car. A mechanic can tell you how to build it piece by piece but you can not replicate that process unless you have really understood it.
