What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The most satisfying feeling is definitely when your mentee told you their grades have improved or has achieved a high score. It gives you a sense of pride and boosts your ego. However, the process where they understand after explanation/ correction gives a beyond satisfactory feeling. It also helps me understand them so I could cater my teaching methods towards their preference.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
What I can see from myself as a tutor is that even when my mentees make mistakes, I never discourage them. I can tell when they’re nervous and afraid of making a mistake the first time they took lessons with me. Reminding them that it is alright to make mistakes because I will help them in correcting. Additionally, I always tell them to also correct me if I make a mistake. This helps them be more confident and less pressured during learning process.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
It is very crucial to not pressure them or scare them. If they are pressured, then their goal would be achieving high grades not because they want to improve, but because they are scared of not meeting the tutor’s expectations.
