What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring is a new route for me as it teaches how to be independent, it is where I will have to made a decision for the direction of my role as a mentor/tutor. I'd need to provide my mentee what they need and bring them to their final goals, I would be the one who is trusted and expected to help others without anyone looking over my shoulders. Independence of tutoring helps to develop lots of new skills (e.g., problem-solving, decision-making, most importantly, time management.). Additionally, the effect that a tutor can have on students is crucial, I enjoy giving my students positive impact.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am a positive person and I'd love to bring the emotion/feeling to my student. In my opinion, tutoring is not only about providing the technical skills that students need but also helping them to develop their own personalities. As a tutor, I would promise to bring out anything I have to assist them master/advance in Mathematics. Moreover, with a positive attitude and confidentiality, I will do my best to help my students grow more of their skills. In additional, I have the patience and active listening ability such that it would prevent the gap between a tutor and students.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
- Build a strong relationship with Parents and Students: this is a critical step in helping to understand the student's situation more such that it is beneficial and easier to assist students achieve their goals. Personal relationship is fundamental to student success.
- Have a specific content expertise for lessons: knowing the subject's concept will make learning more relevant and rigorous. By doing so, the lessons would be more engaged, guiding the students to be more aware of their learning and self-discipline, results in an improvement of their academic.
