What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

My favourite thing about tutoring is watching the students grow and helping them to achieve this growth. It is extremely rewarding when a student experiences notable changes in their academic results and is able to achieve their schooling goals. Being part of the transformation a student experiences over the course of tutoring is something really special I love being part of.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe I will make a great tutor because of my ability to form meaningful connections with others as I think when the students are able to relate to me they will be more engaged in the lesson. From working with primary school kids at OOSH to helping my peers and friends during high school, I have gained experience with a wide variety of students and a sharp understanding of the diverse needs and wants of children. This has enabled me to develop strong communication skills so that I can present and demonstrate concepts in a clear and concise manner which makes learning more accessible.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to recognise that all kids are different with unique skills and needs. This means adopting a personalised approach to tutoring wherein the tutor employs teaching methods and materials that are best suited to the individual child. This helps the child to feel understood and allows them to make the most of their tutoring sessions.
