What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy making a positive influence on young students who are going through critical phases in their academic lives and assisting them in finding meaningful applications of mathematical concepts. Shaping their minds to think critically and to see them grow in their understanding is a particular satisfaction for me. I also find the tutoring personally beneficial as it helps me to appreciate the subject material better and being able to teach someone a concept successfully is a rewarding experience.

My approach to teaching follows a methodical and clear presentation of concepts and materials which removes as much ambiguity as possible. This is supported by my ability to communicate in a manner which makes complex concepts comprehensible and digestible. This makes the learning process organised and uncluttered.

Regardless of the tutor's strengths and weaknesses or their personality, an essential asset to a tutor's toolbox is the ability to adapt their tutoring or teaching methods to different learning styles or needs. This discriminates a satisfactory tutor from an exceptional one. This is an area I always consider of high importance and one that I always continue to seek to improve on. In addition to tutoring skills, positive encouragement and goal-setting is important to provide the student motivation to achieve and meet expectations.
