What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about teaching is the warm and wholesome process of actively trying to nurture the learning of young children. It is truly a joy for me to see children develop their skills under my stewardship and I can see the fulfilment the student receives when they have learnt something and they show me great school results because of it. Furthermore, I think apart from just the learning process, I like influencing the youth to become better people in the long-run and cultivating wholesome interactions that positively benefit my students in multiple ways.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths are that I am very compassionate and understanding. I have taught people with ADHD and other mental illnesses and others who are "Straight A" students. Regardless of their cognitive ability, I have learnt to adapt to the situation, academically and emotionally. Additionally, I think my way of communicating math concepts is relatively progressive as I use real-life examples extensively to explain math ideas if a student is not understanding. In the past I have used game controllers, Marvel Avengers and coins to explain certain ideas which students have more positively engaged with
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Apart from solely the academic component of teaching, there is a humanitarian element that I really enjoy. I think teaching the course content optimally and elevating your student's understanding is objectively the most important role as a tutor. However, I truly believe that providing an uplifting and entertaining class atmosphere for the student is pivotal and is almost just as important. I remember myself being a student and dreading class because it was scary and boring, negatively affecting my performance, which is something I want to avoid for my students.

Main thing is to try to have topic sentences and analysis that aligns which means to know your analysis before writing your topic sentence. Also being more specific with analysis, be as explicit as possible with how you are connecting your example to topic sentence.
Good that we were able to discover where his weaknesses were and it was very clear so it's good he knows where he can improve.
