What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The thing I enjoy most about tutoring is when students understand concepts that they have been struggling with and it makes sense to them. Also, I find it rewarding when the tutoring I do helps students enjoy the subject and they feel more capable of handling the problems or questions they are faced with. Rather than just showing students what to do straight away, I like to see how they would approach the question and take it from there.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Along with my previous tutoring experiences with university colleges, classmates, students, and my brothers, I believe I have acquired strong communication skills with the people I am tutoring. I think it is important to understand when someone is struggling and when to know to assist them. Throughout my whole life, I have tutored my brothers, as the oldest sibling, it comes naturally to me to help them and from that, I have learned to help others whenever I can.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Throughout my academic career, I have had many tutors. My favourite tutors have been the ones that have been patient and flexible with me. I think being patient towards your students allows a space where minds can grow and learn. Patience shows that you (as a tutor) want the student to be eager and try and tackle the problem before you assist them with them and just tell them how to do it. Flexibility is the capacity to teach a student the same concept multiple different ways, a way in which they can understand and comprehend what you're saying. These two skills can make a great tutor.
