What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Through my past informal tutoring experiences, I have enjoyed watching my students grow- not only through improved results but also as individuals striving for the highest. Through Solace of the Lord, I watched several students who at the beginning of the program had no interest in their education, progress into motivated young individuals with passions and goals that they had begun working towards. It is this transition and achievement of goals that I enjoy the most about tutoring.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a tutor, I use my personal experiences as a student to provide advice, study methods and stress mechanisms to my students. I tell them what worked for me and what didn't as a means of learning from my mistakes. FThrough my informal tutoring experiences, I have also ensured that I am organised with lessons, preplanning the content and ensuing worksheets and mathematics exercises. I have also developed excellent communication skills, which will allow me to explain mathematical concepts accurately and efficiently.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to not only teach content but to be there as a mentor. Exam periods, life and post-school options can all be stressful for students and it is vital that a tutor can mentor students throughout this through stress mechanisms. This, coupled with effective teaching methods and provision of resources including sheets, past papers and textbooks will ensure that students are achieving goals both academically and beyond, through the support of a tutor.
