What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The most enjoyable aspect of tutoring for me is the sense of reward you feel from helping a student be successful in an area that they may have been struggling with previously.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I can adapt to different learning styles that students possess. I can see what works for the student in terms of solving maths problems and use their strengths to help them deal with more complex problem solving. Through my experience as an OSHC educator, I can build relationships with students which I believe to be important in motivating their learning. I bring a positive attitude to the learning process and recognise even minor achievements or progress that students have made.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor needs to be able to identify where a student is struggling and deliver problems in a way that they can comprehend. It is quite likely that students may have negative feelings towards learning in a subject that they are struggling with, so it is important for tutors to bring enthusiasm to the learning process. Similar to this, tutors need to be able to recognise when students have made progress so that they can deliver praise, and hopefully help that student see the subject in a more positive light.
