What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy seeing students working towards a goal and working to improve their own skills. This is something I would be privileged to be a part of. As well as you become a role model for students, allowing not only for students to learn skills of the subjects but skills for the future, like time management. The relationship I had in High School with my own tutor made me feel supported, not only when completing my subjects, but in my workplace. I had developed the skills that I use now because of the close relationship I developed with my tutor. This is now something I want to be a part of.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Due to the requirements of my course, I must take part in practical experiences. Yet, this only allows me to take part in the school environment for a limited time. This means I have had to work quickly to create relationships with students and staff. Establishing myself in the classroom, and as part of the team. These relationships allow students to trust me to see and assist them in English in History, giving students the confidence and the tools to create their own opinions and ideas of the text or unit. I pride myself on being able to connect and form relationships.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the most important thing is to have a routine, be reliable, and to have the student be a part of every decision in their learning. My time with a student is not about a test or exam. It is about creating the skills for a student to be able to improve as they move through school and beyond. This is something that is going to be implemented differently for each student, as every student is different and has different needs. But, allowing them to be a part of every decision and voice things that are not working for them.
