What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I believe that I would enjoy getting to know individual students, working with them to overcome the particular challenges that they're facing. Each student is unique and would benefit from different types of teaching/learning. It is very rewarding to see someone gain confidence in their abilities as they see that they're making progress with their studies.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a tutor, I see empathy and reliability as my greatest strengths. I understand how important it is to have support as a student (having had a tutor throughout VCE). As with my previous mentoring experiences, I believe that I would offer an encouraging and considered approach to tutoring. I see being responsible for my commitments and supportive of English students at any level as significant strengths that I hope to bring to this position.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most significant contribution that tutors can make to a student's education is encouraging curiosity, assurance, and self-confidence. Many students would benefit from considering different learning styles and having one-on-one support. By taking the time to work with students as individuals, tutors inspire a genuine appreciation for the subject by providing another perspective. Students see the most progress when they believe in their own abilities. Tutors are key in helping them manage their commitments and working through challenging topics to achieve this progress.
