What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able provide assistance and education those seeking to improve their academic performance. When I was a student in high school, I always had great appreciation for great teachers and now I would like to do the same. When helping teach my younger brother as well as younger family and friends, it gives me a sense of pride to be able to contribute to their ongoing improvement and provide clarity on the problems they are working on. I like exploring different teaching methods and seeing how each individual responds to certain teaching styles and what benefits them the post.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I'd say my greatest strengths includes patience and enthusiasm. In my experience students always encounter different academic challenges that are unique to them. I have a great sense of patience when I see a child who is struggling with a problem and I am always able to work on their time length and help them work through it. I'm enthusiastic about about seeing improvement in the lives of students. I remember the rewarding feeling of finally solving a problem or task and that is a feeling I'm eager to assist current students achieving.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I consider this to be the ability to adapt to a students needs and learning ability. Certain students may not understand concepts from the same method as everyone else. It's important to cater to each student and understand what their best form of learning is. To do this different styles of teaching can be implemented to see which ones each student best responds to. It's essential for the tutor to regularly check in with the student to see how they are fairing and implement any changes to maximise the students wellbeing and learning.

Neva did really well to get a gauge of how chemical elements work and understanding how to read the periodic table. Although these topics are more complex, she's got a great understanding of how to adapt and learn the topics.
There may be an issue with the amount of time we were able to discuss each concept, however I've already discussed with her mother that next week we can look at doing a longer session in preparation for her upcoming test.
Neva initially had a limited understanding of the three concepts of mode, median and mean. She did well to learn them quickly and apply them to example problems.

Neva had a couple of issues with mathematical computation but was able to quickly understand her mistakes and learn new methods to prevent them from happening again.

Since it was our first lesson together me and Neva spent time getting to understand what she wants to learn and how she wants to structure our lessons. We got along really well and I was able to work through her topics. She was able to quickly learn and gather information to be able to get a better understanding of Science.
Neva did really well to address all the topics that we discussed. However if there was anything that needs Improvement it could potentially be just doing more practice on some of the topics we learn so that she's able to avoid making mistakes in the future
