What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy working through problems with students. I find tutoring involves a lot of creative thinking, to figure out the best ways to approach a difficulty that a student is having. I also enjoy working with my student until they feel confident about the subjects that we are working on together.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I have a lot of general knowledge in a variety of different areas (as I study History and Philosophy) that aid me in explaining a wide variety of difficult questions to my students. I often find that if a younger student is experiencing difficulties in English, they also need a bit of help in related areas of humanities. Reading comprehension is one of my strengths and I find it is the core of a lot of studies related to English.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is build up their confidence and stop them from getting discouraged. I often find that if a student is having difficulties, they stop wanting to succeed in that subject. If you convince them that with a little bit of extra work they'll be doing really well, they often gain confidence and pick up new concepts faster.
